Guys, I finished #mbf today!
The three weeks just flew by! I loved this program! It was challenging, but not so much that I felt like I couldn’t do it. Here was the workout schedule which combined using weights for strength training and cardio:
Mondays – Lower Body Burn. Megan, the trainer, loves asymmetrical exercises, and this definitely showcased that my left side is my weaker side, but by week 3, I was definitely seeing improvement!
Tuesdays – Core Circuit. These were my favorite days of the program! We combined core exercises with AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible) and I loved trying to beat my number of rounds each week!
Wednesdays – Upper Body Burn. Again, we did a lot of asymmetrical exercises and I made the mistake the first day of using way too heavy of weights and by end of the workout, I could barely lift a 5-lb weight! So in week 2, I used lighter so that I could keep my form throughout the entire workout and then by week 3, I was able to challenge myself a bit more with the heavier weights.
Thursdays – Core Circuit, with different exercises for AMRAP. So much fun!
Fridays – Full Body Burn – SWEAT. SESSION.
Saturdays – Power Ignite. While this was a shorter workout, it was the hardest workout for me. We did EMOMs (Every Minute on the Minute) and wow, did my heart rate get up! I was left dripping with sweat and breathless! We did moves like inch-worm push-ups, mountain climbers and plank jacks and it was insane!
Sundays – Dynamic Recovery. 25 minutes of much needed stretching after working hard all week. Loved these days.
This program was shot entirely via zoom because of the pandemic, but that did not take away from the excitement and enthusiasm from Megan and the cast. I felt like I was right there with them and both Megan and the cast pushed me when I got tired.
OH! How could I forget the BEST part of these workouts – the BOD ropes!
The BOD ropes helped us simulate jump roping and it was the best part of the workouts! I felt like a kid again, jumping around. You could tell that the cast members loved it, too!
Overall, the program was fast and furious and while I was worried it would be too challenging, it did push me, but I looked forward to getting up in the mornings to do the workouts!
Next up: #mbfa which will be the next more advanced 3-week program. I’m so excited to start tomorrow!
May your glass always be full,
