Good morning! Does anyone else’s dogs get them up at the crack of dawn? I feel like a mother of young children again. I can’t even remember the last time I got to sleep in. It’s no wonder that I’m ready to go to bed before 10:00, even on the weekends.
Our routine here at the house has changed now that David is doing a workout and nutrition program. I’m so proud of him, he’s been doing really well. I’m planning on giving you guys an update next week. In the meantime, it’s just nice to have someone else who I can talk to about the LIIFT4 workouts and I don’t feel like I’m alone on my healthy eating journey. Plus, I love that he calls me coach!
I completed week 3 of LIIFT4. I’m on my third round and this week I was able to do a lot of the HIIT exercises without modifying! So proud of myself!!
I ordered some Shakeology sample packs and we’ve been giving them a try. So far, I like the vanilla flavor the most; David likes the tropical strawberry, but we still need to try café latte.
They are really good on their own with just some water or unsweetened soy milk, but yesterday I made a smoothie with the chocolate flavor, a banana, peanut butter, hemp seeds, and unsweetened soy milk. It was really tasty!
I also received an order from Vitacost, one of my favorite online health food stores! They had a 20% off food items sale, so I stocked up on some nuts, nut butters, chia seeds, nutritional yeast, and snacks.
David and I have a Friday night tradition where we go to a favorite hangout after work, drink a beer, sometimes have an appetizer, talk about our day, and then make a meal plan for the following week and go get groceries. It’s not the most romantic thing in the world to do, I guess, but it works for us!
This was a lovely hazy IPA, by the way!
Saturdays are cleaning and laundry day and we’ll watch some college football. It used to be that college football days meant drinking all the beer and eating all the junk food, but today I’m making a pot of vegetarian chili and we’ll be snacking on raw veggies and hummus. GO HAWKS!
What’s up in your world? Did you get in some workouts and healthy meals?
May your glass always be full,
Tammy
Healthy eating yes and I am doing my arm stretches. I went to a rehabilitation appt. yesterday and she did a light lymphatic massage. I know it was good for me but I am really sore. I may try to run today. 6 weeks post mastectomy!!
