Wyoming Vacation

Hey there!  Long time, no talk!  June has been a crazy month, but I finally have time to sit and chat about stuff.

We recently went on a vacation to Wyoming and it was A-MAZ-ING!  We’d never been out to that part of the country before, but we our friends, Janette and Tom, moved out there a couple of years ago and they invited us to come out, so David and I drove out there.  It’s a 15-hour drive with much of that drive going through Nebraska.  If you live in Nebraska, I hope I don’t offend you when I say that Nebraska has to be one of the THE least exciting states to drive through.  But a book on CD made the drive more tolerable and once you get to Wyoming, the scenery is so beautiful.

Our friends are avid hikers and took us on hikes every day.  We also got to enjoy a weekend brew fest.  We tasted a lot (and I mean, a lot) of great craft beers!  It was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures from the trip:




My husband and I have been hiking before, but honestly, most of them have been more like nature walks.  The hikes in Wyoming are legit, and I want to do more!

I missed week 7 of the LIIFT 4 program while we were away on vacation, so I picked it back up this past week.  Week 7 and 8 of the program are called “Shred” weeks and now I see why!  Holy moly, I could barely walk for 3 days after the leg workout!  I finish the program this next week, but I’m going to do the entire program again and increase my weights.  I really love it and love how my body is feeling stronger.

Okay, I’m off to do some meal prepping for the week and then David and I are spending the afternoon with our lovely girls for Father’s Day.  Happy Father’s Day to all of the wonderful dads out there!
